Hilltop House

Nashville Tennessee

This is a Contemporary home built on a very challenging, steep lot that has far views of Downtown Nashville, and localized views of a rare Mountain Laurel habitat. On entering the site, the parking court sits atop the poured concrete garage below, and steps down slightly into the entry porch and foyer. The interior plan is very open and axial on the main level, and has an interior atrium to link the upper level to the main level. A tapered, central stair leads down beneath the fireplace to a Recreation Room near the dramatic swimming pool terrace. All the rooms radiate from the central atrium form as fingers in order to capture the surrounding views which vary from room to room. House was built by Dean Davenport of Construction Unlimited Inc. and Interiors were executed by Kathy Anderson's team at Anderson Design Studio.
